To cultivate a greater state of awareness with the body, one must first train their mind to become present to the body’s current needs and condition.
For instance, everyday, first thing in the morning, I check how my body is feeling, how my chakras are feeling: open or closed, tight or flowing, and I tune into my stomach, my intestines and so on. Every morning I conduct this overview of my physical body.
I check to see:
Have I had enough water?
Are my muscles feeling tight?
How am I digesting food?
How am I detoxing things that my body no longer needs?
Start the Day in this Way
One of the best ways to start the day is to begin with a glass of water and a nice cup of herbal tea. It is important to refrain from eating any food until the body has had a chance to clear out, empty its contents and the previous days food that has already been eaten.
